I led product design across a suite of large-scale fintech platforms at the Iran Currency & Gold Exchange Center, operating under the supervision of the Central Bank of Iran. These platforms served over 1 million users and facilitated more than $10B in annual transactions. The core challenge was designing user experiences for complex B2G services—an area traditionally known for poor usability, heavy regulations, and low user trust. My focus was on simplifying these complexities into clear, reliable, and accessible user journeys.
I oversaw the design of high-impact products across currency exchange, gold trading, and payment services. Each product required careful alignment between user needs, technical constraints, and strict financial regulations. By introducing a research-driven design approach and iterative validation cycles, we significantly improved usability and trust. Some of these improvements were notable enough to be highlighted in national media, reflecting a shift in the standard of UX within government-backed digital services.
Beyond product design, I built and scaled a 10-person design team within a year, establishing design processes and fostering a strong culture of collaboration. Working closely with a 50-person technology division, I ensured that design decisions were deeply integrated with engineering realities and business goals. My role extended into mentoring, defining workflows, and aligning cross-functional teams around a shared product vision.
This experience demonstrates my ability to lead design in highly regulated, large-scale environments—where user experience directly impacts public trust and economic activity. It reflects a balance of strategic thinking, execution, and team leadership in delivering meaningful, real-world impact.
